What happens with my General Availability Pre-Order for .Tel?

General Availability Pre-Orders will be submitted instantly to the .tel registry as soon as it opens to registrations on March 24th 2009. We are accepting Pre-Order applications for the General Availability stage from the 4th November 2008.

Your General Availabilty Pre-Order will appear as 'Pre-Order pending' in your Members Area. Once the initial rush of registrations is processed by the registry we will update the status of the domain in your Members Area.

If you Pre-Order a .tel domain for the General Availability stage, the domain will continue to show as available for those wishing to Pre-Order for a prior stage. At each stage of the .tel domain launch we will filter out those domain names that have been taken in a prior stage before preauthorising credit cards.

If you have Pre-Ordered a .tel domain at the General Availability stage but it is then consequently taken at an earlier stage, your card will not be preauthorised and no attempt will be made to secure the domain. We will keep you informed if your Pre-Order is no longer available through registration at an earlier stage.
