What is the .so Landrush process?

The Landrush phase starts Jan 17th, 2011 00:00 UTC. Applications received during Landrush are treated as received at the same time (i.e. it is not first-come, first-served). If there is only one applicant for a domain, it will be allocated to that applicant soon after 28th February 2011. Once allocated the domain will be active and live in the applicant's Members Area at Domainmonster.com.

If there is more than one applicant for the same domain name, all applicants will be invited to bid for that domain in a closed auction run by Pool.com. The highest bidder will get the domain name. Auctions will commence after the end of Landrush, starting from 14th March 2011. You will receive email notifications from the auction provider, using the email contact listed for the domain name registrant.

If you are unsuccessful with your Landrush Application, then you are entitled to a refund minus a handling charge as set out in the Terms and Conditions.
