What is the .so Landrush Auction process?
If there is more than one applicant for the same domain name, all applicants will be invited to bid for that domain in a closed auction run by Pool.com. Auctions will commence after the end of Landrush, starting from 14th March 2011.
Auction Flow:
- At the conclusion of the Landrush phase, the .SO Registry will send a list of domains with more than one credible application to the Pool.com.
- Pool.com will send participant (which is the Registrant email address) at least 10 days advance notice.
- Once auctions are scheduled, participant will receive an email to activate their auction account and enter a credit card for payment and fraud verification.
- On the day the auction starts, all participant get an auction start email.
- Throughout the auction itself, the bidders get emails depending on the status of the auction.
- When the auction closes, the auction winner will start the billing process.
- When an auction is marked paid in Pool.com, the .SO Registry will allocate the domain to the winning bidder within 10 days.
