My personal details are visible in the .eu Whois database, and I would like them removed. How can this be done?
If a company owns the domain name in question it cannot remove its personal details from the WHOIS as organisations are obliged by European law to display their contact details. However, if the domain name in question is owned by a private person and when registering the they made a mistake and entered their name into the Organisation field, they can contact their registrar and ask him to remove the information that is contained in the Organisation field of their entry in the
WHOIS. Please note: This may incur a cost as the naming authority (EURid) will charge for this change of registration.
