Why can't I update the registrant name on my UK or EU domain?

When UK and EU domains are registered the domain has to be registered to either an individual or a company. If your primary contact details contains a company then your UK or EU domain will be registered to this company name. Otherwise the individual's name on your primary contact will be used.

Once this registrant name been set on UK and EU domains then it cannot be changed with us directly. For UK domains you will need to contact Nominet to request the change. For EU domains, you will need to contact Domainmonster.com Support.

Always remember that you must use valid contact details on your domain or the registry could drop your domain.
